Intersect

This shadow puppet theatre, inspired by the forms of umbra, penumbra, and antumbra, bridges artists and the public in Wood Green’s Blue House Yard. As pedestrians pass through a carefully placed portal, they enter a shadow puppet exhibition where silhouettes are cast onto the floor from puppets sealed in acrylic. Transparent artist booths turn creation into performance, while an underground space invites gathering and connection. Outside, a courtyard links to local shops and leads to a special auditorium, angled toward a massive wall. Where shadow puppet shows are projected at night, transforming the wall into a storytelling screen and the city into a stage.
